How many words does a check use?
Allowance words are not a count of distinct document words. New eligible prose is rounded up to a whole 100-word block. The standard new review checks writing patterns and reference records. Source searches and grammar suggestions are requested separately; a new review does not automatically run them.

All three actions in this example use 5,000 allowance words in total. A grammar request for a shorter passage uses only that passage’s eligible words, rounded up. References, headings and other excluded text do not count as eligible prose. Each action checks capacity before work starts; your allowance cannot go below zero.
Do uploads and scanned-PDF reading spend Pack words?
No. Uploading and reading a file does not start a paid review or deduct Pack words. Signed-in customers can read scanned pages, inspect the extracted draft and correct recognition errors before choosing to start a review. A report is created only after the review runs.
Do I pay again to open a saved report?
No. Reopening saved results is free. Unchanged reusable results can be used without another charge. Edited text, expired cached checks or a genuinely new suggestion may require new work and allowance.
What happens if a check fails?
Allowance is reserved before new paid work. Failed work releases its reservation. A failed or partly completed source search is labelled honestly; it is not treated as proof of no matches.
When does my Pack expire?
Each Pack lasts 30 days from verified activation. Your dashboard and My account show the actual expiry and available words. Unused expired words are not spendable. Buying a new Pack within 30 days after expiry can carry unused eligible allowance into the new Pack.
Can I add words?
Yes. Signed-in customers can see currently available add-ons on the Word balance page. The shared remaining allowance and applicable expiry are shown in your account. The final checkout price is the amount you pay.
Is signing up or unlocking a free scan charged?
No. Creating an account and unlocking an existing free scan do not spend Pack words or require a card. A claimed scan and its saved report are private to the account that saved them.
When will purchased words appear?
After the completed payment is verified and the Pack is activated for your signed-in account. A success link alone cannot add words. If confirmation is delayed, use Check balance; contact hello@tixilis.com if it remains missing.
What is the refund policy?
Requests are reviewed under applicable law and payment-provider rules. Nothing limits statutory rights, including where a service is faulty, not as described or cannot be provided. Immediate service can affect cancellation rights where you expressly request it and acknowledge the consequences. Refund requests are handled manually; no unconditional refund is promised.
