Who you are contracting with
Tixilis is a trading name of Peace Imafidon ("Tixilis", "we", "us"), the seller of the Tixilis pre-submission review service at tixilis.com. You can reach us at hello@tixilis.com.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service enquiries and handles returns, and Paddle's buyer terms apply to the purchase itself.
By creating an account or buying a Pack, you agree to these terms.
What the service does
Tixilis reviews a draft you upload and reports on writing patterns, grammar and clarity, overlap with public web sources, and whether the references you cite can be found in public records. It is a preparation aid: it is not a marking service, not legal or academic advice, and it does not check your university's private submission archive. We do not guarantee any particular grade, outcome, or that an institution will reach the same conclusions.
You are responsible for the work you submit to your institution and for following its academic-integrity rules.
Accounts
You must give accurate account details, keep your password secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts are for one person; do not share logins. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.
Packs, allowances and payment
Reviews are paid for with word Packs and review allowances. Prices are shown in pounds sterling at checkout and are charged by Paddle. Packs and allowances are valid for 30 days from the moment they are added to your account; any unused words expire at the end of that period. Words are deducted only for text that is actually reviewed, and unchanged text that we can reuse from an earlier review is not charged again.
We may change prices for future purchases. A change never affects a Pack you have already bought.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload work you have no right to upload, or anyone's personal data you are not entitled to share;
- use Tixilis to produce work you will pass off as unaided when your institution forbids it, or to help anyone else do so;
- resell, sublicense, or provide the service to third parties, or run it as part of a competing product;
- attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, probe or circumvent the service, its limits, or its billing;
- upload malicious code, or use the service for anything unlawful.
Your content and intellectual property
You keep all rights in the drafts you upload. You grant us a limited licence to process your text solely to produce your report and to operate and secure the service. We do not sell your drafts, and we do not publish them.
We keep all rights in Tixilis itself — the software, the reports' presentation, the brand and the site content. Nothing here transfers those rights to you.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, is used fraudulently, puts the service or other users at risk, or is required to be closed by law. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put things right. You can stop using Tixilis and ask us to close your account at any time by emailing hello@tixilis.com. If we close your account without cause, we will refund unused, unexpired allowance.
Availability and liability
We work to keep Tixilis available and accurate, but the service is provided without any guarantee of uninterrupted availability or of results. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the version published here at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory protections available to you where you live.
