About
Check your work before anyone else does
Tixilis is a pre-submission review workspace. You upload a draft, and it comes back with the things a marker or supervisor would notice first — writing that reads as machine-generated, unclear sentences, passages that overlap published sources, and references that cannot be found.
Who it is for
Students working towards a deadline, researchers preparing a manuscript, and education teams who want the same check available across a department. Everything is designed to be read and acted on quickly: every flag comes with the sentence it belongs to and a suggested improvement you can accept, edit or ignore.
What a review looks at
AI Detector — where the writing pattern looks generated rather than drafted. Grammar & Clarity — sentence-level suggestions that keep an academic tone. Plagiarism / Source Overlap — passages matching public web sources, run only when you ask for it. Reference Verification — each citation checked against public reference records, so fabricated entries are flagged.
Cover pages and bibliographies are excluded from the word count, and unchanged paragraphs cost nothing when you review a draft again.
How word balances work
You buy a Pack of words rather than a subscription. Words are deducted only for the text actually reviewed, and each Pack is valid for 30 days from purchase. Current Packs are Essential (£7.99) and Standard (£16.99) — full details are on the pricing page. Nothing renews automatically.
What Tixilis is not
Tixilis reviews against public web sources and public reference records, not your university's own submission archive. It is a drafting aid, not a guarantee of a grade or of an institution's own integrity outcome, and the judgement about your work stays yours.
