Privacy Notice

Peace Imafidon (trading as Tixilis) is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can contact us about anything in this notice, including a request to see or delete your data, at hello@tixilis.com.

• Account data — your email address, sign-in credentials held in hashed form, and the date you joined.
• Content you upload — the drafts you submit for review and the reports produced from them. A draft may contain personal data about you or others, so please only upload what you are entitled to share.
• Purchase and balance data — which Packs and allowances you bought, the amount, currency and date, and how many words remain. Card details are entered on our payment provider's checkout and never reach us.
• Usage and technical data — reviews you run, words charged, log and error records, IP address and browser information used to keep the service secure.
• Messages — anything you send us through the contact form or by email.

To provide the service you asked for and to take payment (performance of a contract); to keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and improve it (our legitimate interests); to meet accounting, tax and other legal duties (legal obligation). Where we ever rely on consent, we ask for it separately and you can withdraw it at any time.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

We share personal data with these categories of recipient, only as far as needed:

• Paddle.com Market Ltd — our payment processor and Merchant of Record, which handles checkout, billing, tax and refunds, and acts as an independent controller for those purposes.
• Hosting and database providers — who store your account, drafts and reports on our behalf.
• Review and analysis providers — specialist services that process the text of your draft to produce the writing-pattern, grammar, source-overlap and reference results. They process it for us and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
• Email delivery provider — to send account and support emails.
• Authorities or advisers — where the law requires it or to establish or defend legal claims.

Some of these providers operate outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens we rely on approved safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Account data is kept while your account is open and for up to 12 months afterwards. Drafts and reports are kept so you can revisit them, and are deleted when you delete them or when your account closes. Purchase records are kept for six years to meet accounting and tax duties. Anonymous free-scan text is deleted within 30 days if it is never claimed into an account.

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Tell us at hello@tixilis.com and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to your data protection regulator — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

We use only the cookies and similar storage needed to sign you in, keep your session secure, and remember a free scan you have run. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
